God and Government

OneNewsNow.com has a great article about a new book which states that George Washington believed that faith in God is essential to government.

If you are curious, the phrase "separation of church and state" is NOWHERE in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence. The phrase came from a letter from Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists describing the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The clause bans an established state church. However, liberal activists and the mainstream media twisted the phrase over time to mean a separation of God and government.

I discussed this controversy in my thesis paper in 2001. This controversy will not go away until we realize the REAL intent of our Founding Fathers---they believed that America's blessings can come ONLY from God.
