Kentucky school superintendents met with the KHSAA Board of Control today. The superintendents endorsed a "schedule reduction plan" starting in the 2009-2010 school year--which is in reality a boycott of private schools when it comes to sports. Mike Fields has an article on the debate here.
In my view, this will hurt the tradition of high-school sports in Kentucky...especially basketball. If I am correct, Kentucky is the ONLY state in which ALL schools--regardless of class size--participate in its high school basketball championship.
Your thoughts?
