Developing: Continental-United Merger?

The New York Times is reporting this morning that Continental and United Airlines are close to a merger. Sources tell the paper that the airlines want to seal the deal by Thursday. Click here to see the article.

Airlines are eager to merge because of higher fuel costs and overhead. Fasten your seatbelts...I expect that there will be more mergers.
