From WYMTnews.com:

"A major retail chain with Eastern Kentucky roots is going out of business, leaving hundreds of people about to lose their jobs. Dawahare's is closing all of its 22 remaining stores. The retail chain is going out of business because it can not raise the money it needs to continue operating.

"Bankruptcy court documents filed Thursday in Lexington show the 101 year old family business that started in Eastern Kentucky expects to run out of money by October. More than 100 Dawahare's employees already lost their jobs after seven stores closed. Now all of Dawahare's 400 remaining employees are set to lose their jobs by the end of September."
