BREAKING: A.J. Stewart no longer a Wildcat still with the Wildcats

Kentucky Sports Radio is reporting that A.J. Stewart has been kicked off from the team. This comes after the debacle at South Carolina. Click below for more:

UPDATE at 5:56pm: Billy Gillispie said at his press conference that Stewart did quit the team, but had a change in heart and practiced with the team today. Developing...

Tornado Watch Open Thread

5:22pm: The tornado watch has been cancelled for Eastern Kentucky as of 5:12pm. There are storms continuing in parts of the region, but they are weakening.

4:08pm: Based on the storm reports I've seen, hail seems to be the dominant feature with this outbreak.

3:40pm: Number of power outages climbs slightly to 136 here in Letcher County.

3:34pm ET: For the second straight Wednesday, severe weather is affecting Eastern Kentucky. A TORNADO WATCH is in effect until 6pm ET (5pm CT). Numerous warnings have been issued for the region, including a SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for parts of Johnson and Martin counties until 4pm. 121 customers of AEP here in Letcher County are without power. I will post more updates if necessary. Post any severe weather reports in the comments section.

Severe Weather Live Blogging

9:57pm: 34,798 Kentucky Power customers out...3,040 here in Letcher County. Two counties affected by the recent ice storm--Martin and Breathitt--have the highest number of outages. Click here for the latest from Kentucky Power.

6:36pm: Power outages increased since last update...2,769 Kentucky Power customers still without power in Letcher County... a total of 30,628 Kentucky Power customers region-wide without power. Power on at my house here in Isom. PRAY for those affected by the storms.

5:52pm: 2,116 Kentucky Power customers in Letcher County without power.

5:37pm: Power is out at Sandlick...trees are down in portions of Letcher County. Power was flickering earlier here in Isom...but is on at the time of this update. STAY SAFE.

5:20pm: Winds continue here in Isom while the worst of the severe weather has moved on to the east. Power is out along the Whitesburg Bypass.

4:57pm: SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING extended until 6pm for Letcher County.

4:46pm: Line of storms will hit Jeremiah and Roxana here in Letcher County by 5pm...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for Johnson, Martin and northern Floyd County until 5:45pm

4:21pm: Winds have picked up here in Isom. STAY AWAY FROM DOWNED POWER LINES.

4:18pm: TORNADO WARNING for parts of Breathitt, Lee, and Wolfe until 5pm. SEEK SHELTER NOW!!!

4:06pm: SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING for portions of SE Kentucky--including Letcher County--until 5pm. STAY SAFE.

3:57pm: TORNADO WARNING for Knox County until 4:30pm. SEEK SHELTER NOW!!!

3:43pm: TORNADO WARNING for portions of McCreary and Whitley counties until 4:15pm

3:27pm: TORNADO WARNINGS for parts of Madison and Garrard counties...more TORNADO WARNINGS for parts of south-central Kentucky. SEEK SHELTER NOW!

3:05pm: TORNADO WARNINGS for parts of Lincoln and Casey counties...other storms move into metro Lexington.

2:12pm ET: TORNADO WATCH has just been issued for Eastern Kentucky until 9pm. In addition, the HIGH WIND WARNING continues until 4am early Thursday morning. Storms are roughly along the I-65 corridor at this time. Letcher County schools will be dismissing at 2:30pm. See map above for latest radar and Tornado Watch info. I will post updates as needed.
