BREAKING: Ellis Park to reopen

Ellis Park in Henderson, Ky. will reopen next week after owner Ron Geary and horsemen reached an agreement that gives the horsemen the larger share of account wagering revenues they wanted. "We've got the deal done and we're delighted," said Rick Hiles, president of the Kentucky Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association.

Geary could not be reached for comment immediately, but outlined the terms of the deal in a telephone interview and cut the call short because he said horsemen were calling him to inform them of their decision. Geary said the deal would open the track on Friday. Hiles said Thursday was a possibility.
