From the Lexington Herald-Leader:
"After nearly two days of deliberations, a jury has found James H. “Jamie” Barnett guilty of wanton murder in the shooting death of Clay City police chief Randy Lacy.
The eight men and four women had the option of finding Barnett not guilty or guilty of intentional murder, second-degree manslaughter or, if they thought he was drunk and high at the time of Lacy's killing, wanton murder."
